ON 8 MAY 2013 FORMAL NOTICE WAS SERVICED ON:

Mellis Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School

AND

Suffolk County Council

On 8 May 2013 Mr. Richard Cattermole, head teacher of Mellis Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School and chairman of the governing body Mr. Ben Makowiecki and Suffolk County Council were placed on Formal Notice because BUSK believes they were failing to put into place adequate safeguards to protect pupils whilst using private cars for school trips.

These has been noted by BUSK and all correspondence and documents in BUSK’s possession will be made available to a court if a child is abused, injured or killed as a direct result of the School and the local authority not adhering to national guidance and to the Authority’s own guidance in respect of transporting children in private cars on schools trips.

Full details of all correspondence from all associated parties involved and reports and documents may be made available upon request from any relevant party.
