Our mission is to keep you safe when travelling on our coaches
During this recent period when many of our activities have been curtailed, we have continued to provide local bus services in Guildford and have gained valuable experience of providing transport services in the COVID-19 era. We are ready and waiting for when our valued coach hire customers want to travel again, and want to assure you that Safeguard Coaches will have done everything reasonable to 'safeguard' its customers.
Our coaches will be deep cleaned every day before they start service and often again during the day as well. We are already using new, highly effectie anti-virus techniques such as virucidal fog on our local buses as part or our regime to combat COVID-19 and will be doing the same on our coaches. The virucidal fog also permeates the entire vehicle air-conditioning system to reduce the chance of any infection recirculating.
Drivers clean touchpoitns and exposed surfaces throughout the day, again something that we're already doing on our buses. We'll be providing our coach drivers with appropriate PPE. As a further protection we already temperature-test every driver when he/she reports for work.
Uou being safe and comfortable means everything to us, so you'll see some new advice displayed on our coaches. By taking a few precautions you can help us keep you, our drivers and our other customers safe too.
We'll ask that you wash your hands before boarding the coach, bring hand sanitiser if you can, and wash your hands again after you get off the coach too. Wear a face covering when on board unless you have a medical reason not to do so. Hand sanitiser will be available on board for customer use.
Listen for advice from our drivers as to boarding and alighting distancing rules as much as possible. Whenever practical, our drivers will get off the coach prior to customers boarding and alighting to help with social distancing. And when waiting to board keep your distance from others as long as it is safe and practical to do so.
Unless all passnegers are part of a (single school or simialr) 'bubble' we ask that you follow these guidelines: when you're on board, space out and sit apart, except when you are travelling with someone you live with. To reassure and protect you, our drivers and our other passengrs, you'll see that some seats cannot be used. Take a look a round and see if you can give yourself more room by moving seats.
To reduce the risk of cross-contamination please don't drop litter and be sure to take all your personal belongings with you when you leave the coach. Your driver will provide a bin bag for your use if requried which will be sealed and disposed of appropriately. Please to not use the overhead lugggage racks but rather place personal items on the floor, ensuring of course that the gangeway is kept clear, or in the underfloor lockers if directed to do by your driver. Only handle your own items of luggage.
We are risk-assessing all our transport activities in the lightof COVID-19 and will be pleased to share the results of these assessments with our customers. Please let us know if you'd like more information - we will be pleased to oblige.
If you'd like to talk to us about any of the above aspects or discuss your upcoming travel plans please call us on 01483 561103 (office hours) or email firstname.lastname@example.org
