Drivers Coastal Coaches employ 7 full and 23 part time coach drivers.  Training Drivers trained in on-going CPC modules and have completed training in Manual Handling, Records & Tachographs, First Aid, Daily Vehicle Inspections, Driver-Fuel Saving, Driver Hours & Working Time Laws, Safe & Defensive Driving. Maintenance In house maintenance carried out in purpose built workshop managed by Garage Supervisor, Albert Caley. Vehicles safety inspected every 28 days. Members of BUSK Benchmark, Confederation of Passenger Transport. Profits are re-invested into business to maintain safety standards. Coastal & Country Coaches are a well-known, respected, family run business that has been an established part of our community since 1947.  We have an excellent reputation for being reliable and experienced in travel around North Yorkshire and the UK.  The Company provide a wide range of services including vintage travel onto the North Yorkshire Moors and the open top tour service in Whitby as well as providing Home to School Transport, private hire and longer term contracts. Our comprehensive fleet consists of vehicles ranging from 16 to 69 passengers.  They are all equipped with seat belts, fire extinguisher, First Aid kit and speed limiter as standard.  All vehicles are inspected monthly and older vehicles are replaced as necessary.  This means our fleet is modern, comfortable and up-to-date with current safety legislation.  Our open top and town service vehicles also have wheelchair access ramps and our minibus is fitted with a wheelchair lift.  Our drivers are experienced and courteous and we pride ourselves on providing a professional and friendly service.  They all hold an appropriate license and current CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) card.  Our drivers will have undergone enhanced DBS checks for working with children and vulnerable young adults and have had basic First Aid training.
